Helmed by Czech Chef Eva, Prague Microbrewery and Restaurant tantalising menu includes traditional Czech specialities such as Roasted Pork Knuckle, Homemade Sausage platter, Beef Goulash, Roasted Duck with Cabbage & Dumplings, and Chicken Paprikash.
Roasted Pork Knuckle $24++
The pork knuckle was huge for the price tag! It looked so golden brown with the promise a good crackling time with every mouthful. The fats are plentiful, giving the meat flavour, but the skin wasn’t as crispy as I had hoped. Nevertheless, still a great staple in most brewhouses!
2. Roasted Duck with Cabbage and Potato Dumpling $18++ *Highly Recommended*
This was my favourite dish as the duck was so tender! A signature Czech dish with traditional ingredients, the cabbage was also mildly sour with a good mix of juiciness.
3. Chicken Paprikash $16++
At first, I had mistakened this for a curry chicken with rice! The chicken itself was a bit bland but together with the delicious creamy sous, it was rather delightful.
4. Beef Goulash $16++
This is a traditional Czech pub food. The beef chunks are slow-cooked for hours with Czech spices till the stew becomes aromatic. The beef here were sizable chunks but didn’t have the melt in your mouth texture I had expected. The stew was very flavourful though!
Overall : Prague Microbrewery and Restaurant is the first of it’s kind in Singapore that is very authentic and sincere in both their drinks and food. It is very conveniently located just above Outram MRT station.
